Please stand with us to protect biodiversity in the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

In February 2019, Ecojustice lawyer Ian Miron and his colleagues will be in court to defend the Gulf of St. Lawrence from oil and gas exploration that puts ecosystems and communities in harm’s way.

The Gulf is one of the most biodiverse regions on Earth — home to more than 4,000 species including the blue whale and wild Atlantic salmon. It’s also home to at-risk Harlequin Ducks, which winter on rocky Atlantic coastlines.

Help Ecojustice go to court to protect this ecological wonderland.

Ian's holiday wish

“Like many Ecojustice supporters, I am an avid birdwatcher. Birds are emblematic of the biodiversity that I fight to protect. This year, my holiday wish is for biodiversity in the Gulf of St. Lawrence to have the chance to thrive.”

Help make this wish a reality.

From the plight of the North Atlantic right whale to rapid deoxygenation due to climate change, biodiversity in the Gulf of St. Lawrence is already under threat.

An oil spill in the region would devastate the marine ecosystem, fisheries and the tourism industry, and the Indigenous and local communities who rely on the Gulf for their way of life.

Please help fend off the additional threat oil and gas exploration poses to the region by donating today.

This holiday season, give the gift of a brighter environmental future. Please donate today.
